Franklyn Gillham

Franklyn Gillham was born in Cambridge, England, where he grew up surrounded by books. He began making up stories of his own at a young age, and wrote his first “book” at thirteen, upon discovering European Medieval History, a subject which has remained a lifelong obsession.
Franklyn has an MA in Medieval Studies from the University of York and has worked in a variety of roles from recruitment to running a brewery. He is a firm believer that you should write what you know, and then make up what you don’t. In fiction, he is interested in historical fantasy, historical fiction, and the representation of women and the LGBTQIA community.
Franklyn is currently finishing the sequel to Honour is Her Blade, and also working on a historical novel set in France at the end of the Hundred Years War.
